Antioch Baptist Church has been a prominent church in the city's Ville neighborhood for more than 125 years. It was founded in 1878, has been located at North Market and Annie Malone since 1880, and was named a historic landmark in 1999. It displays distinct Late Gothic Revival-style architecture.

Owned and operated by the Archdiocese of St. Louis, the Cardinal Regali Center houses the Archdiocese Archives and the Pope John Paul II Auditorium.

The Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis doubles as a spectacular mosaic showcase: 83,000 square feet of this church is covered in 41 million pieces of mosaic tiles, making it the world's largest collection of mosiac art. A father-and-son team spent nearly 80 years in creating their masterpiece. A museum dedicated to this long process is located on the lower level of the cathedral.

The cathedral, located in the city's Central West End, was built between 1907 and 1909. Today, it serves the city's Roman Catholic community as a gathering place for worship.

Located within the grounds of the Roman Catholic National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, the lushly landscaped two-acre Children's Memorial Playground opened in the summer of 2002.

The playground was designed with a spiritual theme in the hopes of providing adults with a backdrop for religious instruction. The seven days of Creation are colorfully depicted in a rubberized walking surface that circles the playground; at the entrance to the park is a life-size sculpture of a kneeling Jesus, created by artist Tom Foppe. Children can also climb on oversized rock sculptures and swing to their hearts' content. A family restaurant is also located on the church's grounds.

Located on the National Register of Historic Places, the Gothic Revival-style Christ Church Cathedral was built between 1859 and 1867 and features impressive spires and a belfry tower flanked by gargoyles.

The church houses the oldest Episcopal parish to be established west of the Mississippi River. Free tours are conducted weekdays inside the cathedral; call ahead to schedule.

At the Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion, families can worship on Sundays at an 8am Holy Eucharist, Rite II service and at a 10:30am Holy Eucharist, Rite II service.

The I.E. Millstone Jewish Community Campus in Creve Coeur features the Carlyn H. Wohl Building, a 4,000-square-foot fitness center, two indoor pools (including a warm-water therapy pool), an outdoor pool, racquetball and squash courts, meeting rooms, an early childhood center, the Black Box Theatre, and a double-sized gymnasium. This campus hosts the St. Louis JCC's summer day camp program, which serves over 2,000 campers every summer.

Chesterfield's Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Campus features a 6,500-square-foot-fitness center, gymnasium, 25-yard indoor lap pool, meeting rooms, and a 5,600 square foot outdoor recreational pool. For children, the campus also hosts day camps, an Early Childhood Center, and the
Children's Activity Center for infants and toddlers.

Both campuses can host customized birthday parties at the pools, gymnasiums, on the sports fields, or in one of the many meeting rooms.

The parish of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church dates to the early 20th century, although a 1927 tornado destroyed the first church structure. The church as it stands today was rebuilt and opened in 1931.

St. Raymond's Maronite Cathedral features Eastern-inspired architecture; its large, golden dome, topped by the three-barred Maronite cross, is a local landmark.

The cathedral and surrounding complex is also the site of the annual St. Raymond's Festival, held in the fall and featuring authentic Middle Eastern cuisine and all kinds of games, exhibits, and family activities.

Trinity Lutheran Church - located within the Soulard Historic District - houses the oldest Lutheran congregation west of the Mississippi River.

Its red-brick building is historical and was restored in the mid-1980s. Inside, the church features an ornate altar and a pulpit and baptismal font dating back to 1864. The church is happy to arrange tours; call the office for scheduling.

At Webster Groves Presbyterian Church, two worship services are set from early September through the second week of May: 9am and 11:15am. From the third week of May through August, the schedule is 9:30am and 11:15am. Childcare is available during all services, and Sunday School classes are also held for children.
