Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church offers a unique kid-friendly service. The Sunday 9am Family Service lets parents introduce their kids to a thoughtful, progressive spiritual environment, with no worries about disturbing the folks in the next pew.

Baby, toddler, and kid behavior is not only expected, it's part of the celebration. Think Tuesday nights at Chenery Park with music and fellowship.

With a mix of tradition and open spiritual dialogue, Holy Innocents' brings together all kinds of parents - married, single, and LGBT. The service uses inclusive language to reflect the congregation's diversity.

Picture books, drawing paper, and crayons are thoughtfully distributed throughout the pews. Kid-friendly snacks, juices, plastic dishes and cups are available after the service. Jones Methodist Church was organized in February 1943. The Reverend T.J. Bridgette of the Louisiana United Methodist Conference, and a group of approximately forty Methodists came together in dedicated fellowship to create a Methodist Church in San Francisco's then largely African American district, the Fillmore.

Jones and Ridge View United Methodist Churches merged July 1, 2001 to more effectively deliver ministry to the African American population and others of San Francisco. Ridge View started as Ridge Point Church, a community effort directed toward Navy service personnel in 1943. It was chartered as a Methodist congregation in 1945.

Jones has further committed to working with children and youth through the ongoing JUMP/PREP program and as of August 2002, a charter school opened in the new Educational wing of the church.

A Presbyterian church and community center in Noe Valley that's often the site of musical events and, less often, dance and theater performances. The setting is low-key with simple lighting and fold-up chairs. But the casual atmosphere makes it a comfortable place to bring kids.
