Providing quality arts education to our community since 1970, Youth in Arts programs include Artists in Schools, Very Special Arts, the Performing Arts Series, ?Til Dawn, and the Italian Street Painting Festival. Youth in Arts? programs reach over 85% of the students in Marin County.

Youth in Arts also offers arts assessment and professional development opportunities to teachers and school districts, and is developing a model visual arts, performing arts, and new media program.

HandsOn Bay Area (HOBA) creates opportunities for people to volunteer, learn, and lead in their communities. The center manages 120 direct-service projects a month and offers educational programming to help volunteers become well-informed community leaders.

Project Night Night donates individual tote bags - each filled with an age-appropriate book, a baby blanket, and a stuffed animal - in an effort to help homeless children sleep better while in the shelter system. By providing educational objects and objects of reliable comfort, Project Night Night seeks to advance the cognitive and emotional well-being of children.

Project Night Night accepts donations of new baby blankets and like-new or new children's books at Starbucks in Pacific Heights, 2222 Fillmore Street, near Sacramento.

The Pacifica School District offers a homeschool program for parents of kids K-8, living on the northern Peninsula. Art, science, writing classes, and field trips are offered.

HSC is a statewide organization of homeschooling families with lots of help to offer you and your family in your homeschooling journey.

HSC publishes a bimonthly newsletter, the California HomeSchooler, which carries news about HSC, local and regional support groups, homeschooling resources, and more. The HSC Legal/Legislative Team monitors legislation and other state activities that might affect homeschooling in California.
