You name it, they can make it, for any themed birthday party. We say Little Mermaid, baseball theme (Frozen Ropes recommends this bakery for the parties it hosts), Buzz Light Year, and Barney cakes. The level of ornateness determines the price of the cake. We saw cakes varying in price from $1 per person to $6 per person. Obviously, the fancier the cake, the more expensive.

With four locations, this is also a convenient choice, decreasing travel distance on those crazy birthday party days.

Susan Linder, a children's recording artist and entertainer, is a Miami favorite. She will come to your child's birthday party, perform for approximately 40 minutes, and provide a cassette for your child.

She also performs at school and other social functions. We've seen Susan perform at local school functions and the kids really enjoy themselves.

IC5 Entertainment provides an array of services, including kids party planning, characters, inflatables, and entertainers.

What kid wouldn't want to experience what it's like to be a policeman, fireman, airplane pilot, or doctor? That's the idea behind Wannado City, where kids can do what they "wannado" at the first role-playing theme park.

Located at the Sawgrass Mall, "kidizens" walk through a miniaturized town made up kid-sized buildings and choose different job experiences located in each one. Each job features its own uniform and kid-friendly versions of the equipment necessary to accomplish tasks associated with each job. Wannahelpers help kids with questions they may have about their specific job.

Over 120 different jobs are available. In addition to the usual suspects, kids can also act on stage, in a movie, or television show; work at a supermarket; make a pizza; or learn to be a circus clown. One of the most dynamic jobs is that of a firefighter, and children not only ride on a working (kid-sized) firetruck, they help put out a pretend fire with real water.

A complete map of the town is available on Wannado's web site, and the park is large. But one of the most unique features of Wannado City is the electronic finder system; a boon for groups with children of multiple ages and interests who won't stay together. Each guest "rents" an electronic bracelet, for an additional charge ($3 per person, plus tax), and their names are programmed into the computer system. By visiting any finder kiosk in the park and scanning your bracelet, the screen can show you where other members of your party - by name - were last seen, down to the second. Very cool, and a huge help for parents.

Wongas, the currency of choice at Wannado, can be deposited at the town bank and withdrawn later at ATMs.

This is an all-day experience where kids can move from job to job as often as they wish. A parent or a guardian must accompany kids under the age of 13. By keeping your ATM card and Wongas in the bank, kidizens can return again and again, and choose to work to earn money or enjoy a leisure day, by, for example, using their Wongas to get prettied up in the beauty parlor.

A food court within the park features a Johnny Rockets restaurant (which specializes in burgers, hot dogs, fries, and shakes), as well as other options.

Photographers snap family photos at the entrance, and capture kids in the act of solving a crime, digging for artifacts, or preparing for "surgery"... all images can be purchased when leaving, or online post-visit.

TY Park, or Topeekeegee Yugnee Park, boasts a multitude of activities, including camping, Safety Town, swimming, water slides, boating, tennis, basketball, biking paths, fishing, picnicking, and shelters for parties.

A new floating fountain spouts water nearly 65 feet in the air from the fountain's center stream, and other streams shoot approximately 30 to 35 feet. The fountain is operated by a 50 horse-power pump.

Paddleboats and johnboats can be rented for $7 per hour or $13 for four hours for use in the freshwater lagoon.

Castaway Island is a water playground with two pools, seven slides, and a toddler splash area. Use of this area is $6 per person for a one-hour-and-fifty-minute session. Sessions start at 9:30am and end at 5:20pm. Adjacent to this area is the swimming lagoon.

Mondays and Wednesdays from 4pm-5pm, the park hosts Atemi-Ryu Karate Classes for kids ages five and up, taught by Joseph Williams, a Hall of Fame karate grandmaster. The class is designed to teach self-defense and help build self-confidence. Pre-registration is preferred at the park office, daily from 8:30am to 6:30pm. The cost is $35 per month for each student.
