Tame the wild child in everyone with a visit to the Fort Worth Zoo. Easy to navigate, with interesting exhibits and mostly-shaded pathways, the zoo provides a fun and educational setting for all ages.

In addition to the zoo exhibits, facilities are available for birthday parties for kids ages four to 12 on Saturdays throughout the year. The party package includes a Wild Wonders animal presentation, all-day admission to Zoo for 30 participants, use of an Education Center room and wildlife games for two hours, a Zoo souvenir pencil topped by a Zoo animal stamp for each participant, and a Fort Worth Zoo carryall bag for the birthday child.

Summer Zoo Camp is offered from the end of May to the end of July for kids three years old up through sixth grade.

Gideon Math & Reading Centers provide kids the opportunity to gain efficiency and confidence in math and reading.

Kids entering the program are assessed and placed in the appropriate course of work. Weekly appointments are mandatory and daily homework and practice are expected for success. Parent orientation and free diagnostic evaluations are available every Saturday after 2pm.

Gideon provides the curriculum and structure, but it's up to the parents and kids to practice with daily effort. This program lays a firm foundation of good study habits and rewards kids for goal setting and accomplishment.

Note: During construction on its new facility, the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History's exhibits are located in the lower level of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, 1720 Gendy Street, in Fort Worth.

The Noble Planetarium is currently closed during construction, but astronomy enthusiasts still have access to an extensive schedule of astronomy programs.

One of the most popular exhibits is Kidspace. Geared for kids six and under, little ones can pretend to grocery shop, play with water blocks, and experiment with electronic finger painting.

There's plenty to see and do here, and an on-site restaurant proffers palatable sandwiches and salads.

A pre-school educational icon for over 50 years, the Museum School enrolls children ages three through five.

Studio Arts Dallas offers art classes for children ages two and up, including drawing, cartooning, scupture, and popular classes "just for boys" and "just for girls." Toddlers can also register for Mommy (or Daddy) and Me classes. Summer camps are available for kids and teens.
