For baby's first haircut or kids who want a serious 'do, Snip-Its has the cuts and styles for kids of all ages. Bright, colorful characters decorate an archway above the floor, and kids can play computer games while getting their haircuts.

No appointments are taken; walk-ins only.

Birthday parties are also available, complete with glamour photos of all the braids and curls, nail polish, make-up, and dressy clothes.

Kids can watch their favorite movies or play the latest Nintendo Game Cube games while they get a haircut. The salon also features a Thomas the Tank play area for younger kids.

Rent children's downhill skis, snowboards, and snowshoes, children's and toddler's cross-country skis, gear sleds, and tents, backpacks, mountaineering gear, and sleeping bags/pads at area stores. Stores have a full schedule of outdoor-related talks and programs, but these are primarily geared towards adults (although there is an occasional family-related event; check REI's website for details.)

Rowing Dock offers rowing and kayak lessons, kayak and paddle boat rentals, and summer camps. Rental rates vary by type of equipment. Season passes and memberships are also available.

Bounce Across Texas is a party rental company that can provide inflatable bouncers, water slides, concession equipment (ie sno cone machines), and more.

Mr Johnny is a party entertainer who provides a rollicking 30 minute sing-a-long, combining interactive songs with rhythm sticks, scarf play, and lots of bubbles.

A giant jungle drum activity and a mini-treasure hunt with take-home prizes for are also included in the package, and balloon twisting can be added for an extra fee.
