Spark of Love Toy Drive
The Los Angeles Fire Department holiday toy program for needy children begins both collecting and accepting requests for toys on November 28. New toys left at any LA area fire station starting the day after Thanksgiving are distributed to children in need. Why not call in advance to see if it's a good time to take a tour of the station, letting kids get two great lessons in one outing? Fire workers not on call are always happy to let little ones sit on the truck and check out the gear.
