Yoko Ono's Wish Trees
Yoko Ono presents a major exhibition in the central courtyard, Wish Trees, consisting of a number of living trees identified with the environment or history of Southern California. Visitors are invited to write wishes on pieces of paper and hang them on the tree branches. Pasadena's wishes are to join wishes from all over the world and buried in capsules surrounding Ono's public art project in memory of John Lennon, the Imagine Peace Tower on Videy Island, off the coast of Iceland.
