Marco Casentini: Have a Nice Day

Yoko Ono's Wish Trees
Yoko Ono presents a major exhibition in the central courtyard, Wish Trees, consisting of a number of living trees identified with the environment or history of Southern California. Visitors are invited to write wishes on pieces of paper and hang them on the tree branches. Pasadena's wishes are to join wishes from all over the world and buried in capsules surrounding Ono's public art project in memory of John Lennon, the Imagine Peace Tower on Videy Island, off the coast of Iceland.

Gaming Bootcamp: Learn from the Pros: This year, on Saturday, October 4th at 11:30am and at 2:30pm, E for All will host two on-site Bootcamps open to all show attendees to provide an introduction on the world of video games from basic â??how-toâ??sâ?? to gaming terms to whatâ??s new and next in games. Led by video game professional Jonathan â??Fatal1tyâ?? Wendel, Chris Morell from GamePro magazine and Gaming Angels blogger Trina Schwimmer, the program offers expert hands-on instruction including tips, techniques and tactics for gaming via PC, console or mobile devices to gamers of all levels. In addition, as part of the program, the pros will lead show floor tours for Bootcamp participants. Halloween Harvest Festival
The annual festival at Pierce College in Woodland Hills offers a number of fall activities, including visits with farm animals, hay rides, a kids' ferris wheel, and farm-grown pumpkins. An adventure corn maze (shaped to honor Spookley the Square Pumpkin) beckons young ones. Beginning at dusk, the FrightFair Scream Park boasts a haunted house, spooky trails, and more.

Reyes Adobe Days
The 2008 Reyes Adobe Days offers families an opportunity to discover California's heritage through a variety of fun activities. Friday evening's activities include a Teen Extravaganza, while Saturday's events include a parade featuring floats and entertainment leading to the Reyes Adobe Historical Site, as well as music, dance, historical demonstrations, pony rides, children games, and guided tours. Sunday brings more music at the Adobe and an outdoor concert in the park with a line-up of reggae, blues, and African bands. Some events have an admission price.
